There’s almost never a perfect solution—nothing is 100% sustainable. There are always trade-offs and conditions. The microfiber cloths vs. paper towels debate is no exception. Neither is perfect, but one can be better than the other. Let’s dig in.

I’m a happy owner of two cats who like to play a lot but get bored with new toys in a matter of hours. And the more expensive the new toy, the faster they lose interest in it :)

In my campaign of getting rid of plastic at home, I reached kitchen. A washing machine already works on eco-friendly detergent pods, sponges are plant-based, now it’s time to find a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottles with toxic liquid dish detergent. And a solution to this is a plant-based zero-waste solid dish soap bar.

Many internet blogs offer long lists of suggestions on what to do: '10 ways to be more eco-friendly,' '50 ways to be more sustainable,' etc. There’s no doubt a lot of great advice in these lists. However, I would like to approach this from a different angle – start with a simple rule of thumb first, and then move on to ideas on how to be more sustainable.

You might have noticed how much I love bamboo goods, especially toilet paper 🙈 and kitchen towels. And recently, I’ve discovered that facial tissues can be made from bamboo too. Yay!

I’ve recently realized that my cats’ environmental footprint might be bigger than mine 🙈. The greatest impact comes from their diet, with their litter confidently holding second place.
